Who we are

Hammerhead Aquatics Age Group Swim Team is a structured competitive swim program for SWIMMERS of all ages (from 4 years old to the Olympic Athlete) and all ability levels, in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This is a unique teaching, learning and training opportunity for swimmers to develop and maximize their potential. Hammerhead Aquatics swims at the Sunrise Middle School Pool. We are a member team of USA Swimming and the Florida Gold Coast Local Swim Committee.

Our Coaches

scottScott Woodburn

Head Coach, BS & MS degree in Physical Education, over 20 years of coaching experience and program direction: Learn to Swim Schools, High Performance Swim Camps, Championship Age Group Programs, Master Swimmers, NCAA Collegiate Swimming Programs for Men and Women. Special achievements: Recognized as College Swim Coaches Association Master Coach; US State Department guest clinician to Mexico; Division III National NCAA Team Championship; 6 NCAA Division III National Collegiate Champions and over 50 NCAA All-Americans. Coached Olympians from England, Canada, Venezuela.

scottChris Burt

Assistant Head Coach, Hammerhead Aquatic Swim Team. For the past 12 years, Coach Burt has been teaching swimming as a certified Red Cross Water Safety Instructor and certified as a Professional Rescuer/Emergency Responder. Coach Burt is also a USMS Certified Swimming Official and has worked World Championships, US Nationals, YMCA Nationals and at Dixie-Zone Meets.


Christina Brewster

Christina grew up on the shores of Cape Cod in Massachusetts. She began her competitive swimming career at the young age of 8. After graduating from Eckerd College with a business degree she combined her passion for swimming with her knowledge of business and opened up a swimming lesson company. Joining Hammerhead aquatics August of 2017, she is now on her 11th year helping children learn to swim and develop the skills needed to be a successful swimmer.
